Life in Nihon

I have now been back in Japan for over 2 months. I must say that it is not completely what I expected. Having had a solid network last time with the other students compared to being on my own this time is an eye-opening experience.

That said, I am grateful for this experience. I understand that in the end, I am on my own, but right behind me is a large support network which is very nice. I thank those of you supporting me and wishing the best for me.

Also, 2 months deep into the job I am starting to come into a groove. I understand the work much better now and feel as though I'm starting to excel in it, which is a nice feeling.

Now that I've got bugs out of my life, I am also settling in to my apartment and life. This is a good feeling to be able to have some sense of stability and certainty. In the next day or two I will post pictures of my apartment for the world to see. (But first I've got to clean...heh)

Having a blog will prove a good experience for me to let out some steam and just keep connected.

I thank everyone again for your support and will start keeping regular updates.

It is great to be connected to you via your blog. WOW! You have really had some interesting experiences already. Glad that things are settling down for you and you are feeling more settled at work and outside of work. We miss you here, but are proud of what you are doing in Japan. Not just "any" young adult could do what you are doing. You are built of good stuff. Take care! We are keeping an eye on your Mom for you!
